Parental Engagement
Raising achievement by involving parents and carers in the work of our school
Statement of commitment:
We are proud to announce that Wallington Primary Academy was awarded the Leading Parent Partnership Award in February 2022. We are committed to building on this success because we truly believe in the benefits of working with the whole school community, particularly parents and carers.
The Leading Parent Partnership award is founded on research, which shows that there is a very positive impact on achievement, behaviour and attendance in schools where parents are supported and therefore engaged in their children’s learning.
Feedback from parents and carers is extremely important and we want to hear your views and improve our current practice.
The long-term benefits of the LPPA include (but are not limited to):
- Increased parent participation and involvement
- Enhanced parents’ support in children’s learning
- Improved communication between home and school
- Improved pupil standards
If you would like more information or would like to share your views, please get in touch with Mrs Guerin (Head of School) or senior leadership team via the main office.
